Mixed Doubles Ladder League

Community Standards

Community Standards

These standards are intended to keep the league respectful, fair, low-drama, and enjoyable for everyone.

Purpose of the league

This league is intended to provide organized, competitive, and friendly mixed doubles play. The goal is good matches, fair participation, and a positive community atmosphere.

Basic expectations

  • Treat other players with respect, whether you are winning, losing, scheduling, subbing, or entering scores.
  • Communicate clearly and give people reasonable time to respond.
  • Assume good intent where possible, but address repeated issues directly and respectfully.
  • Do not use the league, group texts, or match scheduling to pressure, embarrass, isolate, or punish other players.

Scheduling and reliability

  • Make a good-faith effort to schedule matches within the assigned round window.
  • Respond to scheduling messages in a timely way.
  • Be clear about availability, conflicts, injuries, travel, or other constraints.
  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, let the other team know as soon as practical.

Match conduct

  • Play honestly and call lines fairly.
  • Resolve score, rule, or line-call disagreements calmly.
  • Avoid personal criticism, intimidation, excessive arguing, or repeated negative comments.
  • Competitive play is welcome; hostile or disrespectful behaviour is not.

Partners, opponents, and subs

  • Support your partner and communicate constructively.
  • Treat opponents and substitute players as part of the same community.
  • Use eligible subs according to the league rules and communicate substitutions clearly.
  • Do not use subs, forfeits, or scheduling delays to gain an unfair advantage.

Scores and site use

  • Enter results accurately and avoid overwriting existing results unless a correction is needed.
  • Use calendar, feedback, approval, and mobile Messaging/SMS tools for their intended purpose.
  • Report site issues as site feedback and interpersonal or conduct issues as concerns.

Concerns and conflict

If an issue can be resolved respectfully between players, that is usually the best first step. If an issue affects safety, fairness, participation, or the overall league environment, use About → Feedback → Report Concern. Concerns are routed to the league admin rather than the site sysadmin.

Admin discretion

The league admin may step in when behaviour affects the league environment, scheduling reliability, player comfort, fairness, or trust in the system. Possible responses may include clarification, mediation, reminders about expectations, limits on participation, or removal from a league where necessary.

Overall standard

Be someone others are comfortable scheduling with, playing with, and communicating with. The league depends on mutual respect more than formal enforcement.
